Our Mission
The National Broadway Theatre engages, educates, and enriches lifelong learning in the community, by collaborating with local and national talent to create accessible, high quality professional theatre.
Inclusivity Statement
The National Broadway Theatre is founded on the belief that theater should be a positive, transformative and inclusive cultural experience for society as a whole. National Broadway Theatre is committed to being a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace. A place where all people, no matter their gender, race, ethnicity, origin, age, sexual orientation or identity, education or disability, feel valued and respected. We are solely committed to a nondiscriminatory environment and will provide equal opportunity for employment and advancement in all of our departments and programs. We respect and value diverse life experiences and cultures and ensure that all voices are valued and heard.
NBT will achieve this mission by employing local and national artists. We will audition in Grand Rapids, New York City, and Chicago, while also accepting online recorded auditions from around the nation. Additionally, NBT will be housing all visiting artists here in Grand Rapids; supporting local tourism and hospitality. This new theatre company will operate with high standards, producing Musicals, Plays, and Cabarets, in an environment of professionalism and pure enjoyment.
Our aim is to produce professional Main Stage shows, with an annual community based production! We will also offer Masterclasses, Cabarets and other educational workshops.
You can participate in the success of NBT right now! We are actively seeking Donors and Sponsors for our 2024-2025 season. Additionally, National Broadway Theatre is officially registered as a non-profit 501(c)(3), which means all charitable contributions are tax deductible.
